EPICS Overview

At Observatory Sciences we have strong expertise and experience of EPICS (Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System) and have used this software toolkit on projects in both high-energy physics facilities and large astronomical telescopes.

We provide comprehensive consultancy services for EPICS software and associated hardware, and we also provide EPICS training courses.

EPICS provides an architecture for control system software to be constructed as a scalable, distributed database of control components. It is based on industry standards at all levels and includes an extensive set of tools and clients that are portable across all major architectures (including Unix, Linux and Windows operating systems).
